靴・Shoes

My shoes broke! It’s strange and mysterious, but when work was over, I stood up from my seat and my shoes cracked almost like glass. The reason to this is without knowing it, all the concentration I put in my work that day, I accidentally put it all into one of my feet then releasing all of my energy into that single shoe resulting in me needing new shoes. I bought these busted up shoes back in 2006. At that time in Japan, a shoe that was long and thin, a “pointed toe” type was all the rage and there were rows stacked up with them.

These shoes are still in fashion. I wonder why these are so popular because they are not comfortable and looks are so so. The reason is a mystery. I tried these suckers on for a bit and just as I expected, they made my feet get in the way more than they do already. With the current situation, my feet are already too long, so when I ride my bicycle, sometimes my toes hit the street. So if my foot length is extended further my situation will get even stickier. Why are these inconvenient shoes so popular? Don’t you think these look like Santa Clauses little helper’s shoes?
